Planters, made in our cooperage from high quality Douglas fir bound with hot-dip galvanized durable hoops.The Douglas fir wood comes from the Palatinate Forest and is PEFC certified. PEFC guarantees that the wood products come from sustainably managed forests. PEFC is the largest institution for ensuring and marketing sustainable forest management through an independent certification system.The pots are finely sanded on the outside and the finishing on the outside was done with oil. The bottom of the bucket is made of Douglas fir squared timber (height ca. 9 cm), which can be picked up with a forklift or pallet truck. When planting the pots, we strongly advise to drill holes in the bottom of the pot for water drainage. Bearing beams, which are optionally available, we generally recommend as accessories for vats and larger planters. We manufacture these beams from Douglas fir, a type of wood that is weather and moisture resistant for a very long time. If you have ordered your tub or planter with total discharges, we will cut out the bearing beams at the appropriate place, if necessary, or provide them with an appropriate hole. The number, dimension and position of the support beams depend on the size and nature of the respective container and may vary. The illustrations show the scheme. We reserve the right to dimensional tolerances depending on the nature of the vat. Prices refer to all the beams required for the tub.
