Handmade valinch made of copper for taking distillate samples from the wooden barrel. Those who are dedicated to distillates and are passionate about a certain luxury will find that certain something with the copper valinch. The whisky thief is now not only an indispensable and practical accessory, but also a visual eye-catcher. For the right tasting and also presentation of distillates, the -well better- valincher is the icing on the cake.  In handling, the whisky thief does not differ in any way from its glass counterpart. And speaking of fresh - this is precisely the special feature of gin barrels. The tart and herbaceous spice of resin and grass from the juniper berries is an incomparable aroma that can be imparted to your distillate by maturing or finishing it in pre-seasoned gin barrels. The variety and complexity of flavors in gin is an interesting component in the finishing process of distillates. It is not for nothing that gin is a popular player in the bar scene. After all, gin and its aromatics are an indispensable component of many cocktails, which reflects its diversity but also its compatibility. This compatibility of flavors shows how a barrel of gin can add that certain something to your product.The barrels are fitted with a used wooden or plastic stopper as standard. First a Medium Plus Toast was toasted over an oak fire and then a Char IV by gas. Applied on German oak which captivates by its spice and sweetness, the toasting grant a very intensive color, high character in mouth feeling and complexity. Ideal for maturing grain, whisky and brandies. A hybrid barrel made of American and German oak. The German oak was used for the staves and the American oak for the heads.The barrel was crafted for the producer who wants softer oak flavors with increased complexity after extended aging. Heavy Toast with a light Char finish The barrel has been toasted slowly over an oak fire for 30 minutes before it catches on fire to create the light char level on the surface. Longer aging is required for this toast to maximize flavor and complexity. The barrel is equipped with a silicone bung as standard.  Supplied without barrel storage or racks. Please note, the content indicated for wooden casks do not correspond with net capacity. The capacity can be higher or even less. Balances are not reason for reclamations.

The barrels are made to order. In this way, we ensure that you also benefit from the aroma package of the pre-packaging from the small reclaims. We do not produce the deconstructions in stock! We keep our promise of freshness and produce the ordered barrels once a month  in our cooperage for you. For this reason, the production time may be more than 30 days.
