Cover for water collector, made of weatherproof Douglas fir wood, approx. 20 mm thick. The diameter is adapted to the respective tub. The cover is divided into two parts.  

The barrel screw made of stainless steel with brass nut, guarantees an optically elegant option, the fixing of a glass plate on a wooden barrel. Instructions for self-assembly:First of all, the drum lid is removed from the drum professionally and a 10 mm hole is placed in the middle. The stainless steel thread is placed into the wooden barrel lid from below and the lid is fixed back into the barrel. Then the round glass plate, which is equipped with a hole, is placed on the stainless steel thread. The brass plastic ring is then placed on top of it and finally the screw is fixed with the brass nut. When you buy the glass plate the barrel screw is included. If you order the glass plate together with a barrel, we install this barrel screw directly into the barrel, so that you only have to put on the glass plate.

  Bearing beams, which are optionally available, we generally recommend as accessories for vats and larger planters. We manufacture these beams from Douglas fir, a type of wood that is weather and moisture resistant for a very long time.  If you have ordered your tub or planter with total discharges, we will cut out the bearing beams at the appropriate place, if necessary, or provide them with an appropriate hole. The number, dimension and position of the support beams depend on the size and nature of the respective container and may vary.  The illustrations show the scheme. We reserve the right to dimensional tolerances depending on the nature of the vat. Prices refer to all the beams required for the tub.  

We can paint the galvanized hoops of the barrel in your desired color.All images are only example pictures.  

We can treat the surface of the barrel with various stains, lacquers or oils by request of the customer. Please note that the optics of the barrel will be changed if it is directly exposed to the weather conditions. All images are only example pictures.

Polished brass tap for installation on the wooden barrel as a water drain - ¾" thread - incl. installation. When ordered with a rain barrel, we install the tap on the side of the bunghole. Please select the desired height of the water spout in the selection bar. We reserve the right to adjust the installation height of the tap to the conditions of the barrel or the barrel hoops. If the barrel stands on a pedestal, we ask you to take this into account when selecting the height.

The rainwater collector ("rainwater-thief") consists of a pipe made of hot-dip galvanised sheet metal, for connecting to the the gutter’s downpipe. Equipped with a mechanical flap to direct the rainwater either directly into the rain barrel or into the sewerage system. The rainwater flap is simply inserted into the existing downpipe.
