These four impressive oak storage barrels combine masterful craftsmanship with rich tradition. Made in Germany in the 1970s, they feature artistic carvings on the front panels, making each barrel a unique piece.
The oval large barrels are in perfect technical condition and ready to be used for storage. They have been professionally inspected in our in-house cooperage and have never been filled with wine.
The carvings on the reinforced front panel can be removed upon request.

The used oak vats are approx. 6-7 years old. Initially filled with white wine, they were used as storage barrels for beer in Scandinavia. The barrels are professionally reconditioned on the inside and outside in our cooperage before delivery. The production time for this is about 25 days. The barrels are finished and coated on the outside with a certified clear varnish. The wooden barrel storage systems for large barrels are made of air-dried Douglas fir wood. The wood comes from our own cutting. The bearings are planed and double coated with food-safe clear varnish. The solid core plates at the bottom are fixed with stainless steel screws.Price per single piece.

The framework rack is made of multiannual and air-seasoned oak. The rack will be produced according to your measurements or our carpenter will measure on-site. The finished rack on the picture has been planned and sanded carefully. The surface will not be treated upon request. We also offer racks which are painted or oiled with linseed oil. The wooden cross struts provide the rack stability. We carry out the assembly of the oak framework racks on-site if desired. Price on request.
Wooden barrel storage made of air-dried oak wood from our own cutting for an approx. 6000 l fermentation tank. The dimensions are adapted to the vat and can therefore vary. The eight wooden beams are planed, chamfered and glazed and those are fixed with stainless steel screws. The feet consist of six blocks, each of which is underlaid with solid core boards, so that the storage cannot draw moisture from below.The photos represent a barrel storage for fermentation vats between 2,000 l and 6,000 l. Constructions below and above are possible and will be calculated on request.

Accessories for casks & vats
Barrel screw 120 mm, 160 mm, 180 mm or 220 mm made of stainless steel for a wooden barrel door. The screw fixes the door at the barrel. Suitable for barrels up to a volume of approx. 450 l. V4A with a MS-hat-screw nut.
V4A, external thread DN50 conical to screw it in the barrel, inside smooth for silicon bungs or fermentation locks.
The bunghole flap is made of stainless steel (V4A) and is installed in the stainless steel barrel door. The flap is inside of the barrel and thanks to the pressure of the wine it is tight. Only if a pipe is inserted you can empty the vat.

Calotte foot made of polished stainless steel V2A, the professional shelter for your barrel storage. The square plate is firmly screwed to the underside of the drum bearing. The threaded bolt is firmly fixed on the upper side in the nut welded to the plate. The counter nut located further below allows exact adjustment to the desired height. The bolt is placed on the bottom of the base in the matching recess of the round plate. By the individual adjustment of the four calotte feet it is possible to compensate an angle of up to 14 degrees and guarantees the horizontal storage of your large barrels, independent of unevenness on the floor. The floor storage systems do not stand on damp ground, so that the greatest possible hygiene is guaranteed. The calotte feet are also used for the storage of stainless steel tanks.
