Cubes

Our wood chips or wood cubes made from special woods are interesting for the alcohol industry as well as for distillers. Chips or cubes made from mulberry wood have a high potential for a golden yellow color. Acacia cubes give fine, fresh notes of herbs and honeydew melon. Our chestnut cubes lend aromas of dark honey and ash ensures balanced maturation without giving off color. As with the barrels, the trend is to use wood from a pre-seasoning process.

We produce the cubes in our own cooperage. We only use freshly emptied barrels. The pre-seasoning, e.g. whisky, bourbon, sherry, cognac or rum, is soaked deep into the barrel staves and so the cubes are also "saturated" with the aromas. Beer brewers and distillers in particular use this type of alternative product for their beers and distillates.
