The small sherry barrels (3 l - 50 l) of new European oak are first steamed by us to soften the existing tannin. Then they are filled for up to 12 months with sherry of the cream variety, which we purchase in bulk directly from selected bodegas in Spain. The barrels are stored for aging at our facility in Bad Dürkheim.
After your order the barrels will be freshly emptied and dispatched.
They are perfectly appropriate for a sustainable, exclusive maturation and aromatization of beer, corn, whisky but also e.g. for allocation with beer spirits.
The barrels are equipped with metall hoops.
Flavor:
Dark tropical wood, notes of dried fruit, plums and elegant sweetness.
Used wooden barrels: Notches in the wood or, in certain circumstances, an uneven base, do not constitute a quality defect, but stem from the idiosyncrasies of the production method and the prior use of the barrels. The usage of the barrel will not be affected by those! The barrels are very carefully checked by us at the exit control against sensor and technical errors. We assume no liability for cracks or splits that occur during maturation. A possible and a reasonable repair is not under guarantee.
Please note, the content indicated for wooden casks do not correspond with net capacity. The capacity can be higher or even less. Balances are not reason for reclamations.
