Shelf Barrels

If you are looking for an original and eye-catching bar for your home or your business, the ´Perle´ fits the bill.  Everything about this Perle is different and special. The shape of the Perle is very individual so the carpentry workshop was able to turn it into an eye-catching piece of furniture.  The upper section is opened by a hinged single leaf door and its base is made out of a piece of glass, about 62cm wide, embedded on a wooden cross.  The lower section is opened by hinged double doors.  So there is plenty of space for your special items. Inside the barrel, the staves are stained red which is a totally natural result of the wine ageing process. Matt clear lacquer is applied on the outside of the Perle, the barrel hoops are gold lacquered and the dome lid is black. Last but not least, the Perle is lit in two ways.  Inside the top of the Perle, small lights with batteries have been installed with multi coloured LED strip lights fitted under the base. From a Chateau Traditional barrel in which the wine of a renowned Chateau Grand Classé in the region of St. Emilion in Bordeaux matured, our carpenters have created this shelf. Originally made according to the French tradition with hazelnut hoops at the ends of the barrels and a galvanized hoop in the belly, this barrel is eye-catching and practical as a wine rule as a bar table or decoration in your wine cellar, restaurant or store! The inlay is a wine rack for your precious bottles made of solid barrel oak wood. The metal hoops are painted black. Another characteristic of these barrels are the deep red bellies, according to tradition, the originals were painted with red wine and carefully preserved by our carpenters and coopers. After opening, we clean the barrel inside and outside, glue the staves and fix the barrel hoops with countersunk screws. Afterward we open the barrel  front. The head of the barrel and the bottom remain up to the second hoop, this guarantees the stability and steadiness of the shelf barrel. Inside we integrate a shelf made of blockboard/oak veneer, which allows the storage of 4 rows of 4 wine bottles up to 1 ltr each. This barrel is opened in the front and it's equipped with an original barrel head inside as a shelf. The hoops have been professional screwed and they are secured against falling. We put our attention on highest authenticity possible for this product; this means that this type of shelf barrel has been stored and moved in the warehouses of various distilleries. A surface treatment with linseed oil creates an exclusive look The double-leaf door opens to the outside. Inside, the barrel is untreated and shows a red wine coloring. Two rotatable shelves are the highlight in the barrel. The integrated LED strip ensures the right lighting. The ideal bar table height is ensured by three stave-shaped feet.
