After at least three years of maturation in new American white oak casks, a whisky of remarkable quality is created.This Franconian single malt captivates with its harmonious flavor profile and brings the following aromas to your product: fruity sweetness, subtle malty toffee note, and slightly bitter. The Ardmore Distillery lies in the Scottish Highlands and has traditionally a strong connection with the region and the locals. Ardmore Whisky is naturally at the heart of this connection. Although the distillery has had several name changes since it was founded in 1898, it remains fundamentally the same distillery and its buildings are included in the Scottish Heritage list. Ardmore Whisky is renown for its especially gentle and pleasing flavour. This flavour is immediately recognisable in the nose from the very first whiff: the notes of heather, sweet honey with light smoke come together to produce a very special blend in which hints of cinnamon and toffee are also recognizable. These American white oak barrels were made exclusively for Laphroaig Distillery. The special thing about Laphroaig's Quarter Cask Whisky is that it is first stored in used bourbon casks and then in the smaller 125 l casks (the so-called double-mature process).  In the past, these casks have only come into contact with Laphroaig whiskies, which is why they give off a smoky aroma of peat ash and an intense malt and citrus scent. Sherry casks that have been filled for up to 12 months in our wooden cask warehouses with selected Cream qualities, which we source loose from Jerez. Cream is a blend of Oloroso and Pedro Ximenez and offers a even-tempered sweetness and balance. The 125-liter barrels are original, freshly emptied Scotch whisky barrels, creating a balanced flavor profile between the former whisky and the subsequent maturation with sherry. Flavor: Dark tropical wood, notes of dried fruit, plums and elegant sweetness.
