The freshly emptied 40 L cherry brandy barrel was previously filled with sweet Madeira wine and combines the sunny character of Madeira with the deep forests of the Black Forest.
Taste: A sensorily complex cask profile shaped by the interplay of oxidative Madeira notes and the clear, stone-fruit-driven aroma of cherry brandy. This creates layered nuances reminiscent of preserved cherries, delicate almond notes, and a subtle sweetness, making it especially suitable for the maturation of high-quality spirits or wines.

By default, the casks are fitted with a used wooden or plastic bung. If you prefer a new silicone bung, it can be ordered under accessories.
Pre-used wooden casks: Notches in the wood, external stress cracks, or possibly an uneven base are not quality defects, but rather a result of the construction method and prior use of the casks. The functionality of the cask is not affected. All casks are carefully inspected by us for sensory and technical defects during final quality control. We do not assume liability for cracks or splits that occur during maturation. Any potential and reasonable repair is not covered under warranty.
