Pineau de Charentes barrel 450 l - red

This barrel is a rarity and it is difficult to obtain. These high aromatic barrels are made of French Limousin and have been filled with Pineau des Charentes – a perfect choice for refilling and aging of your whisky, Korn and Jenever.

History 
According to legend, during the harvest of 1589, a winemaker accidentally added grape must into a barrel with eau de vie. The mixture was duly returned to the cellars for fermentation and a few years later, the barrel was retrieved and was found to contain the drink that is now associated with the region of Charentes.

Barrel will be deliverd with a wooden or silicon bung.

Used wooden barrels: Notches in the wood or, in certain circumstances, an uneven base, do not
constitute a quality defect, but stem from the idiosyncrasies of the production method and the prior use of the barrels. The usage of the barrel will not be affected by those! The barrels are very carefully checked by us at the exit control against sensor and technical errors. We assume no liability for cracks or splits that occur during maturation. A possible and a reasonable repair is not under guarantee.
