These ash wood vats were built during the heyday of cherry spirit, in the early 80's, and were topped with finely distilled Cherry distillate in the Ortenau region / Black Forest.
The ash wood from which the cherry distillate vats are built is a wood that gives off little color to the distillate and puts the emphasis on maturity. With a capacity of about 1800 liters, the ratio of the stave inner wall and the cherry brandy was very balanced.
The wooden vats are technically and visually in excellent condition, were freshly emptied and show an amazing aroma. These vats are suitable for aging and storing beers or finishing spirits such as rum or gin.
Likewise, we offer the vats as non-use purposes - for example, as a rain barrel XXL or as a plunge pool in hot weather.
Our coopers adapt the vat to your wishes with optionally available equipment.
The vats are closed at the top in the series and have a built-in wooden door for maintenance. In the bottom is a clear drain, which we have screwed with a removable blind cap.

Used wooden barrels: Notches in the wood or, in certain circumstances, an uneven base, do not constitute a quality defect, but stem from the idiosyncrasies of the production method and the prior use of the barrels. The usage of the barrel will not be affected by those! The barrels are very carefully checked by us at the exit control against sensor and technical errors. We assume no liability for cracks or splits that occur during maturation. A possible and a reasonable repair is not under guarantee.
