Freshly emptied red wine barrels from Château Cruzeau in France. The barrels, made from French Allier oak, were previously filled with Merlot and Cavernet Franc wines.
The excellent red wines from Château Cruzeau have always been well-known and appreciated due to the key growing components of perfect gravelly soil, sunshine and the climate.
The wines are captivating with fruity berry flavours and spicy, floral and slightly tannic notes.
The estate, Chateau Cruzeau, dates back to the 17th century and is located in the world-famous wine region in Bordeaux, in the commune of Saint-Médard-d'Eyrans in Pessac-Léognan. In 1973, the current owner re-planted the vines on the gravelly soil on the south-facing slopes of the estate.

By default, the drums are equipped with a used wooden or plastic bung. If you want a new silicone bung, you can order it under accessories (type standard - C16).
Used wooden barrels: Notches in the wood or, in certain circumstances, an uneven base, do not constitute a quality defect, but stem from the idiosyncrasies of the production method and the prior use of the barrels. The usage of the barrel will not be affected by those! The barrels are very carefully checked by us at the exit control against sensor and technical errors. We assume no liability for cracks or splits that occur during maturation. A possible and a reasonable repair is not under guarantee.
