Freshly emptied red wine barrels from Mercurey in Burgundy.
The barrels have been filled twice by well-known wineries such as Raquillet, Méo Camuzet and Drouhin Laroze.
The French wine region of Burgundy is characterized by the different soil layers (limestone, calcareous marl, clay and loam), which give the local wines their unique flavor.
Raquillet in Mercurey, a winery that has been in the family for 11 generations. Here the grapes are harvested and sorted by hand.
Méo Camuzet in Vosne-Romanée, sets as its goal to produce wines that combine structure and finesse, concentration and charm. Here too, the grapes are still harvested and sorted by hand.
Drouhin Laroze in Gevrey-Chambertin, combines ancient techniques adapted to modern times so that nature and the "terroir" can unfold and the typicality of Pinot Noir can present itself at its best.

Ø head: 60 cm
Used wooden barrels: Notches in the wood or, in certain circumstances, an uneven base, do not
constitute a quality defect, but stem from the idiosyncrasies of the production method and the prior use of the barrels. The usage of the barrel will not be affected by those! The barrels are very carefully checked by us at the exit control against sensor and technical errors. We assume no liability for cracks or splits that occur during maturation. A possible and a reasonable repair is not under guarantee.
