Freshly emptied red wine barriques 225 l, Bordeaux transport construction, French oak.
The winery has been family owned since its foundation at the end of the 19th century. Denis Barraud has been in charge of the winery since 1971. Today, the estate farms about 36 hectares; 7 of them in the Saint-Emilion appellation, where an excellent terroir and a low yield produce complex, dense wines with very soft tannins:
Château Les Gravières is a Saint-Emilion Grand Cru from vines in Saint-Sulpice de Faleyrens. It is a dense and concentrated Merlot.
Tasting note: Dark ruby red with garnet rims, rich dark fruits, smoke and dark herbs on the nose. A nicely balanced body and a medium dark fruit finish.
The barrels have been cleaned and preserved and fitted with a silicone bung.
A real opportunity!

Used wooden barrels: Notches in the wood or, in certain circumstances, an uneven base, do not constitute a quality defect, but stem from the idiosyncrasies of the production method and the prior use of the barrels. The usage of the barrel will not be affected by those! The barrels are very carefully checked by us at the exit control against sensor and technical errors. We assume no liability for cracks or splits that occur during maturation. A possible and a reasonable repair is not under guarantee.
