The 30 l barrels, made from French oak, are filled with Tawny Port - vintage 2018 and are not emptied by us.

According to the law for the protection of minors we sell this product only to persons from the age of 18 years. Shipping on a small pallet by forwarding company.

At the Portuguese winery Quinta do Vale da Perdiz, Douro wines and Port wines have been produced for more than two decades from the traditional grape varieties Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz and Tinta Barroca, which thrive on the slate-rich soils of the Quinta. The distinctive character of the Douro region and its terroir is wonderfully reflected in the wines of Quinta do Vale da Perdiz.

In terms of aromatic breadth, the barrels from Tawny pre-stocking show unbeatable. In addition to warm aromas of dried fruit, sweet dates and figs, as well as soft and nutty tones, a special blend of spice and freshness is especially apparent. Cinnamon and cloves are ideally complemented by floral tones such as lavender and violet, revealing a full-bodied and balanced aroma.

Expect a full-bodied mouthfeel with distinct fruit, restrained tannins and a pleasantly long finish.

Supplied without barrel storage or racks.

By default, the barreks are equipped with a used wooden or plastic bung. If you want a new silicone bung, you can order it under accessories (type standard - C15).

Used wooden barrels: Notches in the wood or, in certain circumstances, an uneven base, do not constitute a quality defect, but stem from the idiosyncrasies of the production method and the prior use of the barrels. The usage of the barrel will not be affected by those! The barrels are very carefully checked by us at the exit control against sensor and technical errors. We assume no liability for cracks or splits that occur during maturation. A possible and a reasonable repair is not under guarantee.
