Dimensions ca.:
Stave length:  95 cm
Ø Abdominal: 68 cm
Ø Head: 58 cm

By default, the drums are equipped with a used wooden or plastic bung. If you want a new silicone bung, you can order it under accessories (type standard - C16).

Used wooden barrels: Notches in the wood or, in certain circumstances, an uneven base, do not
constitute a quality defect, but stem from the idiosyncrasies of the production method and the prior use of the barrels. The usage of the barrel will not be affected by those! The barrels are very carefully checked by us at the exit control against sensor and technical errors. We assume no liability for cracks or splits that occur during maturation. A possible and a reasonable repair is not under guarantee.

Pictures are examples, colour variations are possible.

Is Brandy only the number 2?

I mean no, distillates especially matured in barrels of American or French oak, which have experienced a first occupation of sherry, I find great.

Carefully matured in the Solera process or, in the case of large and valuable qualities, over years sometimes even decades in a barrel, one experiences true fireworks of flavor aromas and celebrations for the palate. Typical of the brandies from Spain and Portugal, from whose distillers we obtain our brandy barrels, is the taste of aromas such as plum, raisin, caramel and positively occupied by mahogany wood, to experience.

Brandy is somewhat easier and more accessible to enjoy as Cognac, certainly also conditioned as already mentioned by the storage in American oak barrels, which by nature already give a very large vanillin share to the distillate during maturation and finally the influence of sherry from these barrels - it is the sweetness that is associated with this and makes the brandy a favorite not only among connoisseurs!

From our point of view, one of the most aroma-rich barrels for restocking with a profound finesse, a mouth caressing for the subsequent distillates and beers in the restocking.
