Interesting, freshly emptied rum barrels, which were used to finish matured rum for several years.
The barrels of rum from Cuba, Nicaragua, Belize, Trinidad, Jamaica and Paraguay, as well as Guyana and Barbados were documented between the years 2011 and 2015.
For use came very different barrels from different origins such as sherry, bourbon, white wine and sweet wine and new wooden barrels. The barrels were filled with very high alcohol contents between 60 and 80% volume. As a result, the alcohol and thus the impact on the wood are very present.
The barrels were emptied in December 2018, by our coopers, the barrels were selected, with a silicone bung provided and released for sale.
Nose: Intense soft, fully ripe, vanilla, raisins, citrus notes, brown sugar, very much power in the nose with pressure

Used wooden barrels: Notches in the wood or, in certain circumstances, an uneven base, do not
constitute a quality defect, but stem from the idiosyncrasies of the production method and the prior use of the barrels. The usage of the barrel will not be affected by those! The barrels are very carefully checked by us at the exit control against sensor and technical errors. We assume no liability for cracks or splits that occur during maturation. A possible and a reasonable repair is not under guarantee.
