Distillate barrel acacia 3 l - 112 l

These acacia barrels are ideal for use as distillate barrels because the interior of this acacia barrel is raw – for better breathing and aging. The Robinia (acacia) offered by us as a barrel also comes from sustainable forestry from the Palatinate Forest, here from the Bürgerwald in Annweiler! The exterior of this acacia barrel has been toasted lightly. All of these barrels are equipped with galvanized hoops.  The acacia barrels from small barrel series have been toasted lightly; the high toasted acacia barrels provide a strong punch with significant effects on whisky or Kornbrand etc.

The acacia barrels do not color as strongly as oak barrels or mulberry barrels, they hardly give cis-lactone and therefore they are suitable for pure maturation of many fruit spirits, such as elegant grape marc spirit.
