Product information "EDER – FassStolz® 1000 l Moselfuder - German Oak"

Especially in the Mosel wine growing area the tradition and the lengthwise construction of the Moselfuder with a volume of about 1000 l is cultivated and even recently revived with the construction of new barrels. Made from fine-grain, air-dried and rift cut oak staves, we build these traditional barrels mainly for the maturation of high-quality white wines in our cooperage in Bad Dürkheim. The tree trunks for the production of these high-quality wine barrels are obtained from sustainable forestry in the Palatinate Forest and the Eifel. After the staves have been sawn, we store the barrel wood for several years in our company outdoors for natural drying. The barrels are warmed and toasted over traditional oak wood fires and steamed at the customer's request.

Produced from seasoned oak wood, origin Palatinate Forest / Northern Vosges!
Fine-grained on red sandstone grown about 200 years, sustainably logged according to certification Naturland or PEFC.
