Shelf barrel - display opened diagonally

The used 225 l oak barrel is cleaned, sanded, opened and a barrel lid is integrated as a shelf. The barrel is split diagonally from top to bottom. The barrel is then stabilized in itself and the hoops are attached. For a better feel, the edges are then rounded and the metal hoops are deburred.

To finish off the top of the barrel lid, an oak board with custom laser branding is applied. Also included is laser branding on the belly.

The surface of this shelf has been sanded and coated with linseed oil to beautifully showcase the wood grain.
