Original red wine barrels from the St. Emilion region near Bordeaux. The barrels come from one of the renowned large red wine estates and are made in the original version of the Chateau construction.
In addition to the usual hot-dip galvanized hoops, the head hoops of the barrels are produced from hazelnut wood.
Another characteristic of these barrels are the deep red bellies. These were created because the barrels were painted with red wine at the Chateau.
Each of these barrels tells its own unique story. For example, on many barrels you can still find the logo of the chateau on the traditional crossbar.
A "must have" as decoration, bar table, shelf or to convert as a shelf barrel for every France and Bordeaux lover!
Height: 88-95 cm
Ø Belly: 70-72
Ø Head: 50-60
Our decorative barrels are mainly suitable for outdoor use.
If you still want to place the barrel in heated rooms, we strongly recommend to have the staves glued by our coopers. (Can be ordered under accessories).
This is the only way to ensure that your barrel remains stable for a long time.
Every oak barrel is unique. Different colorations arose from the precious content that once stored them. Small notches in the wood or small bumps are not quality defects but rather determined by the nature of the construction and the prior use of the barrels.
